SynQ - Getting Started with a FREE Trial

Thank you for your interest in doing a trial with our SynQ ServiceNow Integration Platform that makes is easy to implement and maintain integrations with over 130 other systems via pre-built connectors.

Following are step by step instructions to get you started and we are here to assist you as necessary.

NOTE: If you are an existing Informatica Cloud customer then you can skip the initial steps and go directly to Step 9.

Step 1 - SynQ Start Trial

Navigate to the following URL and click on the ‘Start Trial’ button

1. SynQ - Click on Start Trial button.png

Step 2 - Enter Email to Register

Please enter your email address and click on the Register button.

2. Enter Email in New User section and click on Register button.png

You will see a confirmation message. Now please check your email to activate the registration

Step 3 - Validate your Email

Check your email with the subject “SynQ - Validate your Email”. Click on Register button in the Email

4. Validate your Email by click on Register button in the email.png

Step 4 - Complete your details to Register

Now complete all the details to complete your registration.

Step 5 - Confirmation Page, Click on ‘Login to Cloud’ button

Now you will see a confirmation page what you are registered successfully. Please click on ‘Login to Cloud’ button

Step 6 - Login to Informatica Cloud

Now log into Informatica Cloud. Following is the URL just in case if you missed it in the above step.

Step 7 - Enter Security Question

Please enter the security question.

Now you will see Informatica Cloud Home Page

Step 9 - Create “SynQ Team” user

Now please create a user for “SynQ Team” so that we can assist you during your trial.

Click on ‘Administer’ tab and select ‘Users’

Create a new user by filling the details as shown below and click OK to save. Please note that ‘’ in the user name should be replaced by your actual company domain name

Email Address

Time Zone

Pacific Daylight Time, Los Angeles

You will see the ‘SynQ Team’ user as following.

Step 10 - Download the Secure Agent

Select ‘Configure’ tab and select ‘Runtime Environments’

Click on ‘Download Secure Agent’ button and select your OS whether it is Windows or Linux and install and Configure the Agent

Supported Operating Systems/versions for the Secure Agent includes:

  • Windows
    • Windows 7 (64 bit)
    • Windows Server 2008 R2 (64-bit), 2010 (64-bit), 2012 R2 (64-bit). Verify that the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86) in installed on the machine.
  • Linux
    • Red Hot Enterprise Linux version 6.x and above
    • SUSE Linux Enterprise version 11.0 and above

Once the IC agent is installed and configured properly, make sure that the secure agent is ‘Up and Running’ by navigating to Configure -> Runtime Environments -> Click on the Environment Name.

Go to Step 11 once you see the ‘Agent Status’ and the ‘Data Integration Server’ status in green color, ‘Up and Running’

Step 11 - Create a ServiceNow Connection

Now select ‘Configure’ menu tab and select ‘Connections’ menu item

Click on ‘New’ button to create a new connection.

Now you can enter the connection details by selecting the Connection Type.

Select ‘ServiceNow (SynQ)’ option in the Type field to create ServiceNow Connection.

You need to enter the following details.

Connection Name

This can be any value that represents your ServiceNow connection

Runtime Environment

You will select the secure agent name that you have installed in the previous step


This is the ServiceNow user name. Typically it would be the Admin credentials, and if not you will have to create an integration user with the respective roles given


This is the ServiceNow user password

Endpoint URL

This would be your ServiceNow endpoint URL something similar to

Instance Type

Select JSONv2 for this

Step 12 - Create any other Connection

With the FREE trial you get the following connection types.

Salesforce, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, FlatFile, ODBC, MS Access, FTP/SFTP, SAP, WebService, WSConsumer

You can select any of these connection types and create a connection.

Step 13 - Start free Trial for other connectors available

If the target system that you are looking for does not fall into one of these you can find the 130+ connectors available by selecting ‘Configure’ menu and ‘Add-On Connector’ submenu item.

You can search for the specific connector that you are looking for and start the ‘free trial’

In this example I have clicked on ‘Oracle EBS’

Now if you go to Connections option you will find ‘Oracle EBS’ as a connection type available.

If you don’t find a native connector to connect to the system you are trying to connect to, then you can leverage any standard connector like REST, Web Service, FTP, CSV, ODBC connectors etc to connect to your system assuming that your system does support any of these standard interfaces.
